~٤ ق.م · الناصرة
«السلام لكِ أيتها المُنعَم بها، الرب معكِ.» — لوقا ١: ٢٨
ظهر الملاك جبرائيل للعذراء مريم في الناصرة، مُبشِّرًا إياها بأنها ستحبل وتلد ابن الله. فقبِلت مريم بتواضع قائلةً: «هوذا أنا أَمَة الرب، ليكن لي كقولك»، فانطلق بذلك مسار الخلاص.
~٤ ق.م · بيت لحم
«وُلد لكم اليوم في مدينة داود مُخلِّص هو المسيح الرب.» — لوقا ٢: ١١
وُلد يسوع في إسطبل في بيت لحم لمريم ويوسف. فاجأ الملائكةُ الرعاةَ في الحقول بالبشرى العظيمة، فيما أقبل مجوس من المشرق يقتفون أثر نجم ساطع، حاملين هدايا الذهب واللبان والمر.
~٢٧ م · نهر الأردن
«هذا هو ابني الحبيب الذي به سُررت.» — متى ٣: ١٧
جاء يسوع وهو في نحو الثلاثين من عمره إلى يوحنا المعمدان عند نهر الأردن. وحين صعد من الماء، انفتحت السماء ونزل الروح القدس كحمامة، وسُمع صوت الآب يُعلن بنوّته الإلهية.
~٢٧ م · صحراء يهودا
«مكتوب: ليس بالخبز وحده يحيا الإنسان.» — متى ٤: ٤
قادَه الروح إلى البرية حيث صام أربعين يومًا وأربعين ليلة. جاءه إبليس بثلاث تجارب: تحويل الحجارة خبزًا، والقفز من أعلى الهيكل، وامتلاك ممالك العالم. فردّ يسوع كل تجربة بكلمة الله.

«طوبى للمساكين بالروح لأن لهم ملكوت السماوات.» — متى ٥: ٣
جلس يسوع على جبل في الجليل وأعطى أعظم تعليم أخلاقي في التاريخ: التطويبات، وصلاة الأبانا، وتعاليم ثورية عن المحبة والمغفرة وطبيعة ملكوت الله.
~٢٨–٣٠ م · الجليل ويهودا
«كان يسوع يطوف يفعل خيرًا ويشفي جميع المُتسلَّط عليهم من إبليس.» — أعمال ١٠: ٣٨
طوال سنوات خدمته الثلاث، أجرى يسوع آيات تُعلن طبيعته الإلهية: تحويل الماء خمرًا، وإشباع خمسة آلاف، والمشي على الماء، وإسكات العواصف، وشفاء العميان والعرج، وإقامة لعازر من الموت.

«تجلّى قُدّامهم ووجهه أضاء كالشمس وثيابه صارت بيضاء كالنور.» — متى ١٧: ٢
صعد يسوع مع بطرس ويعقوب ويوحنا إلى جبل شاهق، فتجلّى أمامهم في مجده السماوي. ظهر موسى وإيليا وتكلّما معه، وأظلّتهم سحابة نيّرة وصدح صوت الآب مرة أخرى.
~٣٠ م · أورشليم
«أوصنا! مبارك الآتي باسم الرب!» — مرقس ١١: ٩
في أحد الشعانين دخل يسوع أورشليم راكبًا على جحش، مُحققًا نبوة زكريا القديمة. نشر الجموع ثيابهم وسعف النخل على الطريق أمامه، هاتفين بـ«أوصنا» — استقبال ملكي أشعل شرارة الأسبوع الأخير.

«اصنعوا هذا لذكري.» — لوقا ٢٢: ١٩
في ليلة تسليمه، جمع يسوع رسله الاثني عشر في العلّيّة ليحتفلوا بالفصح. غسل أقدامهم وأعلن عن خيانته، ثم أسّس سرّ الإفخارستيا — كاسرًا الخبز ومُوزّعًا الكأس كجسده ودمه — واضعًا بذلك أقدس طقوس الإيمان المسيحي.
~٣٠ م · الجلجثة، أورشليم
«يا أبتاه اغفر لهم لأنهم لا يعلمون ماذا يفعلون.» — لوقا ٢٣: ٣٤
خِيْن وحوكم وصُلب يسوع على الجلجثة بين لصّين. أظلمت الأرض وهو معلّق على الصليب، فصرخ «قد أُكمِل» وأسلم الروح. انشقّ حجاب الهيكل من فوق إلى أسفل — فُتحت السماء لكل البشر.

«ليس هو هاهنا بل قام كما قال.» — متى ٢٨: ٦
في اليوم الثالث جاءت مريم المجدلية ورفيقاتها إلى القبر فوجدنه فارغًا والحجر مُدحرجًا. بشّرهن ملاك بالقيامة. ظهر يسوع لمريم ثم للتلاميذ في العلّيّة ثم لبطرس وبعد ذلك لأكثر من خمسمئة شاهد — مُتغلّبًا على الموت إلى الأبد.
~٣٠ م · جبل الزيتون
«وها أنا معكم كل الأيام إلى انقضاء الدهر.» — متى ٢٨: ٢٠
بعد أربعين يومًا من القيامة، قاد يسوع تلاميذه إلى جبل الزيتون. باركهم ورفعته سحابة المجد أمام أعينهم إلى السماء. ظهر ملاكان ووعدا بعودته على نفس الهيئة. رجع التلاميذ إلى أورشليم وقلوبهم تفيض بفرح عظيم.
A Sacred Journey
~4 BC · Nazareth
"Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you." — Luke 1:28
The angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary in Nazareth, announcing that she would conceive and bear the Son of God. Mary's humble acceptance — "Let it be to me according to your word" — set in motion the story of redemption.
~4 BC · Bethlehem
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord." — Luke 2:11
Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem to Mary and Joseph. Shepherds keeping watch over their flocks were summoned by a host of angels. Wise men from the East followed a star, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
~27 AD · River Jordan
"This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." — Matthew 3:17
At approximately thirty years of age, Jesus came to John the Baptist at the River Jordan. As He rose from the water, the heavens opened, the Spirit of God descended like a dove, and the voice of the Father declared His divine sonship.
~27 AD · Judean Desert
"It is written: Man shall not live by bread alone." — Matthew 4:4
Led by the Spirit into the desert, Jesus fasted forty days and forty nights. Satan came with three temptations — turning stones to bread, leaping from the Temple, and claiming all the kingdoms of the world. Jesus answered each with Scripture.
~28 AD · Galilee
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." — Matthew 5:3
Jesus gathered His disciples on a hillside in Galilee and delivered the most profound moral teaching the world has known — the Beatitudes, the Lord's Prayer, and revolutionary commandments on love, forgiveness, and the nature of God's kingdom.
~28–30 AD · Galilee & Judea
"Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed." — Acts 10:38
Throughout His three-year ministry, Jesus performed signs that revealed His divine nature: turning water into wine, feeding five thousand with five loaves, walking on water, calming storms, healing the blind and lame, and raising Lazarus from the dead.
~29 AD · Mount Hermon
"His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light." — Matthew 17:2
Jesus led Peter, James, and John up a high mountain. There He was transfigured before them — His glory shining like the sun. Moses and Elijah appeared and spoke with Him, while a bright cloud overshadowed them and the Father's voice thundered once more.
~30 AD · Jerusalem
"Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" — Mark 11:9
On Palm Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, fulfilling Zechariah's ancient prophecy. Crowds spread cloaks and palm branches on the road before Him, crying "Hosanna!" — a moment of royal welcome that set the final week of His earthly ministry in motion.
~30 AD · Jerusalem
"Do this in remembrance of me." — Luke 22:19
On the eve of His betrayal, Jesus gathered His twelve apostles in an upper room to celebrate the Passover. He washed their feet, foretold His betrayal, and instituted the Eucharist — breaking bread and sharing wine as His body and blood — founding the central rite of the Christian faith.
~30 AD · Golgotha, Jerusalem
"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." — Luke 23:34
Betrayed, tried, and condemned, Jesus was crucified at Golgotha between two thieves. As He hung on the cross, darkness fell over the land. He cried "It is finished," and breathed His last. The veil of the Temple was torn in two — heaven opened to all mankind.
~30 AD · Jerusalem
"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said!" — Matthew 28:6
On the third day, Mary Magdalene and other women came to the tomb and found it empty, the stone rolled away. An angel announced that Jesus had risen. Jesus appeared to Mary, to the disciples in the upper room, to Peter, and to more than five hundred witnesses — conquering death forever.
~30 AD · Mount of Olives
"I am with you always, to the very end of the age." — Matthew 28:20
Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus led His disciples to the Mount of Olives. He blessed them and, as they watched, was taken up into heaven in a cloud of glory. Two angels appeared, promising that He will come again in the same manner. The disciples returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
